Once your AI assistant is connected to AI Sync (see Connect MCP or Use your ChatGPT plan), it can do everything on this page by asking. It works as you, with your permissions.
Texts are real. When your assistant sends a text, a real person gets it from your number. Have it show you the message and the number it will send from, then say "send".
🩺 1. Check your texting setup#
Paste this into your assistant:
Check my AI Sync texting setup and give me a short report:
1. List my phone numbers. For each: A2P linked or not, routed to which rep,
and whether an AI agent uses it.
2. Which reps have their own texting line, and which will use the team line?
3. Is there at least one team line (A2P linked, not routed to anyone, not
used by an AI agent)?
4. Anything that would stop a rep from texting.

👤 2. Give a rep their own line#
Make +1 555 010 2233 Maria Gomez's texting line.
Tell me what will change first, then wait for my OK.The number must be A2P linked first. If it isn't, AI Sync refuses and your assistant tells you so. Link it to your 10DLC campaign on the Phone Numbers page.
This only changes who texts from the number and gets its replies. To also send the number's calls to Maria, ask: "Route that number's calls to Maria too."
🔍 3. Check which number a lead will get#
What number will a text to Jordan Lee go out from, and why?Your assistant looks it up with the same rule the dialer uses: the number the lead was last texted from, else your line, else the team line. Ask this whenever a rep says "it texted from the wrong number".
📥 4. Work through the Inbox#
Show my unread conversations. For each: who, what they said, and a
suggested reply. Don't send anything yet.Then:
Send the reply to Jordan Lee. Leave the others.More things to ask:
- "How many conversations are waiting on a reply?"
- "Show only conversations routed to me."
- "Show the full conversation with Sam Patel, including emails."
- "Mark Sam Patel's conversation as read."
Don't pass a "from" number unless you mean to change it. Left out, every text uses the lead's texting line, so replies keep coming back to the right rep.
AI Sync refuses to text anyone marked Do Not Text, whoever is sending. If your assistant reports that, don't try to get around it.

🧰 For people building their own agents#
If you're writing standing instructions for an agent that works your inbox, start from these:
- Before sending any text, show the message and the "from" number, and wait
for approval.
- Never set a "from" number unless the user names one.
- Never text anyone who replied STOP or is marked Do Not Text.
- Ask before "mark all read"; it clears every rep's unread list.
- Send one message per lead per decision. Never loop.The tools behind these requests

Your assistant picks these itself. You never need to name them.
🧯 If something is off#
"No texting line set up"
There's no A2P-linked number your assistant can text from. Ask it: "Which of my numbers are A2P linked?" Then link one on the Phone Numbers page.
"This contact is marked Do Not Text"
Working as intended. The contact opted out. Don't text them.
The assistant says it sent, but the lead never got it
