28 September 2026 — Inbox in the dialer, texting lines#

28 Sep 2026

Texting

An Inbox inside the dialer. One row per contact, the whole conversation (texts and emails) on click, unread dots and a count on the tab, replies live. Reps answer without leaving the dialer. See Inbox.

Texts no longer follow the rotating caller ID. Each lead is texted from one number, and replies go to the rep who owns the conversation. Route a number to a rep to give them their own line. See Texting lines.

Do Not Text is enforced everywhere. A contact marked Do Not Text can't be texted from the dialer, the Inbox, Messages or an AI assistant. Automations already respected it.

Emails go out as your rep, from your own domain. Verify your domain once under Settings → Email Setting, and lead emails come from maria@yourcompany.com with replies straight to her. Until then, replies to lead emails go to the rep instead of a platform mailbox. See Send from your own domain.

Texting lines, all on one page. Settings → Texting lines lists every number that can text, Beam and Twilio, with who texts from each, and says why the rest can't. See Texting lines.

Calls in the Inbox. Each conversation now shows the calls too, with how they ended, Play for the recording and Show transcript. See Inbox.

Connect Beam in three clicks. Beam numbers become texting lines automatically, and you choose who texts from each one. See Connect Beam.

AI assistants can check your texting setup and work the Inbox. See Texting & Inbox with your AI assistant.

28 September 2026 — missed-answer message, transcripts, ChatGPT plan#

28 Sep 2026

Calls, compliance and AI

People who answer with no rep free hear your message, not your voicemail. They used to sit in silence and then hear your campaign's sales voicemail. Now they hear your own short message, can press 9 to stop future calls, and go to the top of your callbacks. Write yours under Dialer → Missed-Answer Message. See Missed-Answer Message.

Every answered call keeps its transcript and a summary. Read them, play the recording and copy the transcript from Reports → Calls, or download your whole history with transcripts included. Calls from 25 September onward. See Call Reports.

Recordings appear in GoHighLevel on the call in each contact's conversation, for every client with GoHighLevel connected.

Automations: decide what happens after each disposition. In the dialer's new Automations tab, pick a ready-made follow-up for each disposition (a text after a voicemail, a nurture after no answer, a confirmation after an appointment) and edit the words. The contact screen now shows dispositions first. See Automations.

Build with your own ChatGPT plan. Connect Codex once and ask it to write agent prompts, build workflows or pull your numbers, at no extra AI cost. See Use your ChatGPT plan with AI Sync.

22 September 2026 — dialer reporting rebuilt#

22 Sep 2026

Reporting and pacing

The Dialer dashboard now shows what happened to every single dial. "No Answer" used to be one bucket holding several very different outcomes. It is now split into outcomes that never overlap and always add up to your dial count exactly: connected, answered with no rep, voicemail, screened, no answer, declined, rep hung up first, bad number, busy and carrier problems.

Three of those are money you can act on the day you see them. Declined means people are actively rejecting the call, usually a caller ID problem rather than a rep problem. Rep hung up first is pacing. Bad number is spend on numbers that do not exist. See Dialer Performance.

Three numbers were corrected. Average talk time now counts every conversation rather than only calls over 30 seconds, so it reflects the real floor instead of a flattering subset. Connect rate now counts voicemail-answered dials in the denominator, because a dial that reached a machine is still a dial. The daily chart now counts outbound calls only, bucketed in your own time zone rather than the server's — an evening call no longer lands on the next day's bar.

Your connect rate may read slightly lower than before. It was previously overstated; nothing about your calling changed.

Screened calls are their own outcome. iPhone and carrier screening is no longer folded in with voicemail. A screened call means a handset answered on the lead's behalf and that person may still call you back, which is a different situation from an answering machine. Neither is ever counted as a conversation. See iPhone and carrier screening.

The leaderboard moved into the Dialer section. Ranking reps is a dialer question and it was sitting one tab away from the numbers it ranks on. Sort by connects, dials, connect rate or talk time, and export the whole thing as CSV. A rep under 10 dials shows a dash rather than a percentage and cannot top a rate-based sort.

Predictive pacing for live reps is available. The engine paces a shared list across your floor instead of each rep choosing their own lines. It needs at least two reps online, holds itself well under the 3% abandonment limit, and takes two deliberate steps to switch on so nothing goes live by accident. See Predictive pacing.

15 September 2026 — call handling and recordings#

15 Sep 2026

Call path

A second incoming call can no longer interrupt a live one. While you are on a call, or one is already ringing for you, another incoming call is passed to an AI agent or voicemail instead of ringing through.

You may see a call ring and then stop. That is the system protecting the conversation you are already having. Check Callbacks and voicemail — the caller is not lost. Previously a second caller could take over a live call, leaving a rep talking to a different person mid-conversation.

The Callbacks banner now says what actually happened. Instead of always claiming you were on another call, it states the real reason:

  • They picked up — you were already on a call
  • They answered at the same time as another lead
  • They answered but no one was on the line
  • They answered but the call did not reach you

All four mean the same action: call them back from Callbacks.

The name on screen matches the person on the line. A previous caller's name could linger over a new incoming call. The name now appears only when the number matches; otherwise you see the number. Audio was always correct — the screen was not.

"Didn't Answer / VM" no longer refuses a lead you can see. It sometimes answered "This lead has no authenticated call log yet." It now saves. If the call's details have genuinely not arrived, you see "Waiting for this call's details before saving that outcome. Try again in a moment." — wait a second and press again.

Recordings: download, and no more dead Play buttons. A Download button sits beside Play in History, saving a file named for the call so you can send it on. Anyone who can play a recording can download it.

Calls that were never recorded now show "-" instead of a Play button that fails. Short real recordings still play.

Not yet proven in the field. This release is deployed and healthy, but no live rep call has exercised the new inbound protection, the recording download or the Didn't Answer fix at time of writing. Report anything that behaves differently from the above.

14 September 2026 — booking, recordings and pipeline#

14 Sep 2026

Booking and pipeline

Book from the live call screen. Choose a GoHighLevel calendar and a time without leaving the call. Every slot shows the date as well as the time.

A booking status you can trust. The screen reports pending, confirmed, needs review, or back on the list. Only "Confirmed by GoHighLevel" means the appointment exists.

Booked leads leave the dial list and move to an Appointment Set stage in their pipeline. Calling them from the keypad to confirm does not put them back.

Every pipeline has an Appointment Set stage.

Call recordings can be delivered into GoHighLevel, where they appear on the contact's conversation. Enabled per client.

Talk time past 24 hours no longer resets to zero.

History search accepts a phone number typed any way — dashes, spaces, +1. If nothing matches it widens to 90 days and says so.

Known limitations#

Worth knowing before you rely on something.

Dashboard statistics are still being refined

Some counts read higher than they should — connect rate in particular. Use the dashboard for trends and the call history for what actually happened on a given call. This is being worked on.

Everyone with dialer access sees company-wide statistics

Reps are not currently walled off from each other's numbers. Being addressed separately.

Transcription is an aid, not a record

The live transcript helps you follow a conversation. It is not exact, and its accuracy has not been measured on real call audio. The recording is the source of truth.

Warm transfer to an external phone

Under investigation. Do not rely on it for a client workflow yet.
